As the name suggests, DEAFinitely Creaseless is a venture set up by The Total Communication
Community CIC with the aim to create employment for Deaf people in the community.
The start of 2014 saw the project concept and proposal. There is but one sole aim
of the project, to get Deaf people into employment through creation of, what will
be, a self sufficient service that is managed and run by Deaf people.
October 1st 2014 saw DEAFinitely Creaseless take on their very first customer and
deliver a full basket of freshly ironed clothes.
DEAFinitely Creaseless Begins Operations
With a hopeful growth of customers, DEAFinitely Creaseless aims to be a self sustaining,
reliable, friendly and professional service that continues to serve Reading and the
surrounding area for many, many years to come.
DEAFinitely Creaseless Gains Momentum
The start of 2015 saw DEAFinitely Creaseless gained the interest of the BBC and,
on 3rd February during BBC 1’s South Today, a piece was run on the project at 6:30pm.
BBC Radio Berkshire also ran a radio interview in January 2015, this will be followed
by a studio interview on Tuesday 17th February on the Ann Diamond Show.
